We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with an active Secret clearance to support the development, maintenance, and security of mission-critical database systems. The ideal candidate will manage Microsoft SQL Server databases, provide AUDS system administrative assistance, ensure data integrity and availability, and work closely with development and cybersecurity teams in a secure, classified environment.
Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016/2019/2022).
Perform database backups, restores, tuning, and replication.
Monitor performance and implement optimization strategies.
Apply STIGs and security patches per DoD cybersecurity standards.
Support database design, data modeling, and normalization.
Automate maintenance tasks and write T-SQL scripts, stored procedures.
Ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability (CIA triad).
Work within a classified environment and adhere to DoD security policies.
Collaborate with software developers, cybersecurity, and network teams.
- Provide AUDS System Administrative assistance to Team Lead.
Qualifications
Active DoD Secret clearance (minimum).
U.S. Citizenship (required).
Minimum one (1) year of experience as a SQL DBA.
Strong experience with T-SQL, SSMS, and database security.
Familiarity with DISA STIGs, RMF, or DoD cybersecurity compliance frameworks.
Ability to work on-site in a secure environment.
- COMPTIA Security+ CE or other IAT Level II certification (DoD 8570 compliant). IAT Level III also acceptable.
Experience in government, defense, or intelligence environments.
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting and ETL tools.
Familiarity with cloud-based (Azure/AWS GovCloud) SQL environments.
