Job Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Management (SCM) Operations (Ops) Data Analytics Analyst invests in our Purpose by developing and implementing Business Intelligence solutions. This role also supports analysis for the Supply Chain Department and other Southwest Departments through spend reporting and performance data. The Senior SCM Ops Data Analytics Analyst is a strategic thinker and skilled communicator who is excited to drive multiple projects in a dynamic environment as a part of the SCM Ops Team.

Responsibilities
- Analyze data, using methods such as data mining, data modeling, or cost or benefit analysis; identify data and system issues that affect reporting and analytical deliverable
- Design and create data visualizations in Tableau or other visualization tools
- Develop using best practice and Methodologies an understanding of Customers&39; needs to ensure that such needs are met
- Creates and optimizes processes for data analysis and reporting for internal and external Customers
- Provide subject matter expertise data extraction, collection, integration, and analysis from multiple data sources.
- Develops streamlined data blending and data manipulation workflows to reduce manual processes
- Support SCM Department and Internal Customers by providing reporting, analysis, dashboard development and application development
- Work collaboratively with Team Members and across Supply Chain Management on strategic projects
- May perform other job duties as directed by Employees Leaders
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Skilled in collecting, organizing, transforming, cleaning, visualizing and assimilating data, including turning raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
- Skilled in identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Stakeholders needs and adapts approach accordingly
- Ability to facilitate information sharing between External Customers and SCM in order to create SWA data systems that meet user requirements
- Ability to acquire data from multiple and diverse sources when solving problems
- Ability to prioritize work with minimal guidance and meets Customers timelines while delivering high- quality work
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Required: Bachelors degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
Experience
- Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
- Analytical, information technology, or data-centric environment
- Data Analysis, Data Modelling, and Data Architecture
- Management of large data (i.e. Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, or equivalent knowledge of ETL functionality)
- Data analysis and visualization tools (i.e. Advanced Excel, Quickbase, SAP Business Objects, Crystal Reports, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx or equivalent)
- General experience building complex models using multiple data sets to calculate TCO/cost savings/KPIs/etc
- Leading medium scale enterprise projects
- Preferred: Experience with AWS Redshift and Continuous Improvement processes
Physical Abilities
- Ability to perform work duties from limited space work station/desk/office area for extended periods of time
- Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
- Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines
- Minimal travel required
Pay & Benefits:
Competitive market salary from $95,750 - $106,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
