Position Summary:
Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

- Develops and revises quality systems procedures, initiates standards along with methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
- Assists with scheduling and performing internal audits.
- Works with customer representatives and third-party auditors to conduct audits and resolve problems.
- Designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting for quality and reliability data.
- Maintains supplier quality performance ratings and audits suppliers.
- Establishes program to evaluate precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, measurement, and analytical equipment within the facilities.
- Assists with developing procedures and implementing methods for the disposing of discrepant material and device methods along with assessing costs and determining root cause.
- Monitors and follows up on proposed corrective actions to verify implementation and
effectiveness.
- Investigates customer complaints then reports results to Sales department.
- Guides workers engaged in measuring and testing products then tabulating data concerning materials, product, or process quality and reliability as well as those who perform quality systems reviews, audits, and product certification.
- Participates in the development of planning and AS9102/FAI department documents to assure a quality plan is in place to produce conforming product in the most efficient manner.
- Participates in the evaluation and verification of product design characteristics for reporting to the customer.
- Compiles and writes training material and conducts training sessions on quality control activities.
- Trains employees on quality issues, appraises the performance of employees during audits for reporting to management, addresses quality complaints, and resolves quality related problems as assigned by management.
- Provides management with suggestions and recommendations for quality improvement.
- Assists with reviewing revision levels of internal, external and customer specification to ensure the current revisions are on file.
- Support with oversight and guidance for certification clerks
Required Skills:
- Possess the ability to work autonomous on specific compliance or quality system projects with accelerated timelines
- Critical thinker, detailed oriented, while overseeing multiple tasks for several projects
- Excellent computer skills including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Excellent communication and written skills
- 3+ years of internal and external auditing experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
- Experience providing project support to senior management
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Knowledge of manufacturing process, statistical techniques, and validation
Experience & Education
High school diploma/GED or equivalent is required.
