Quality Records Department

Bring your knowledge and experience and help ensure best-in-class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Bell Piney Flats team, working as Quality support to ensure airworthiness and correct documentation for aircraft. You’ll work with aircraft mechanics and other personnel to ensure work is performed and signed off in accordance with all applicable regulations. You will also leverage your technical abilities and mentoring skills to train and assist with the development of other team members.


What you’ll be doing as a Quality Records Specialist

· Research aircraft records to ensure compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, Alert Service Bulletins, Technical Bulletins, and maintenance status to determine work scope for relevant aircraft from records research and coordinate with relevant parties in the Aircraft Services department.

· Create and prepare aircraft records packages and status reports in accordance with all applicable FAA regulations.

· Act as the primary contact for all aircraft records and paperwork on assigned projects to provide key support to functional groups by staying up to date on the status of all assigned projects and schedules.

· Maintain specialized and comprehensive records and filing in accordance with Bell Piney Flats repair station requirements.

· Act as liaison between the office personnel and the Aircraft Services Department on Quality projects.

· Interact with internal personnel and external vendors/customers in a positive and professional manner.

· Prepare airworthiness certificates and airworthiness packages for export in order to pursue becoming a MMUM/ODA Unit Member

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to operate computer, keyboard, and mouse, and software related to job duties
  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb stairs
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods, up to duration of shift
  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks
  • Good vision, including the ability to read and review paperwork, focus on small details and identify defects
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues
  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed

Skills You Bring To this Role

· Extensive subject matter expert experience related to aircraft records.

· General computer skills (including Microsoft Office).

· High attention to detail and ability to prioritize work.

· Ability to consistently follow procedures and guidelines.

· Ability to manage assigned projects and ensure work is completed safely and compliantly.

· Excellent communication skills, and ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external customers, leadership, and other support departments.

What you need to be successful

· High school diploma/GED or equivalent.

o Associates degree in relevant field preferred.

· FAA Airframe Certificate.

o FAA Powerplant Certificate preferred.

· Minimum 6 years' experience working with aircraft records with a general knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs).

o Experience with Bell aircraft records preferred.

· Knowledge of FAA Part 145 Repair Station Procedures and experience with FAA forms 337 preferred.
