Primary Job Duties

As the Flight Operations Delay Specialist, you will research the root cause for all Flight Operations coded delays, and report the accurate delay coding daily to Flight Operations Management. 

  • Review all delay codes for accuracy.
  • Research to determine root cause for each delay.
  • Generate daily delay report.
  • Coordinate with other departments and external stakeholders on delay coding.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:


  • Proficient in MS Office including Excel, Word and Outlook required

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Flexibility in schedule to work overtime as needed to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional collaboration skills.

  • Self-motivated, team player.

  • Ability to work under tight time constraints.

  • Capable of working simultaneously in multiple programs.


Physical and Other Requirements

  • This position is located at SkyWest Headquarters in St. George, UT (remote options may be possible upon completion of onsite training in St. George, UT)

  • Typically 18-24 hours a week.  Alternating 3 days on, 3 days off (generally 6 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM - 1:00 AM Mountain Time) including weekends and holidays.
