ERP Implementation Specialist
Location: Mississauga
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $80-$120 per hour (Inc)
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the ERP system accurately reflects the physical constraints and logic of the production environment.
Implementing ProShop ERP, but is not limited to, the following functions:
Learn and master ProShop in order to:
- Effectively provide complete capacity plan of all critical resources within the company and ensure confident usage by key stakeholders.
- Schedule resources accordingly to maximize shop floor efficiency and improve on time delivery to our customers.
- Train planner to master the system and take over control of the master schedule upon completion of contract.
- Along with functional departments, ensure accuracy of data input in ProShop ERP system.
- Support the export of data to create visual manufacturing display monitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Avion Technologies’ business systems, customers, etc.
Key Implementation Tasks
System Configuration & Design:
- Define Planning Parameters: Set up critical data elements such as lead times, batch sizes, safety stock levels, and yield factors within Proshop ERP.
- Map Workflows: Assist in designing new, efficient business processes that leverage our ERP functionalities.
Data Migration & Cleansing:
- Data Validation: Along with team, identify, cleanse, and standardize legacy production data (e.g., part numbers, descriptions, and Bills of Material) before it is moved to the new system.
- Capacity Mapping: Update the 2026 shop calendar and load work center capacities to ensure the system’s Capacity Planning reflects real-world availability.
Testing & Validation:
- User Acceptance Testing: Lead testing of the Master Production Schedule and Material Requirements Planning modules to verify that the system generates logically sound production and purchase suggestions.
- Scenario Simulation: Conduct “what-if” analyses to assess how the system handles demand spikes or resource shortages.
Change Management & Coordination:
- S&OP Integration: Facilitate the translation of high-level Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) monthly plans into actionable weekly production buckets within the ProShop ERP.
- Liaison Role: Function as the primary contact between planning and plant operations, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts and manufacturing capability.
- Training: Train production schedulers and shop-floor staff on ERP workflows, such as managing system-generated action messages and firming planned orders.
