Icelandair is seeking a strong candidate to join the Crew Optimization & Analytics team within Flight Operations. The team is responsible for planning, analysis, and data presentation across flight operations.
Crew Analyst is responsible for data processing and analytics to support both short- and long-term crew planning. The role involves close collaboration with internal departments as well as external partners.
We’re seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced, international environment—someone who’s passionate about solving complex problems, communicating insights, and helping shape data-driven operations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis and data processing to support crew planning
- Develop decision-support models and analytical tools
- Build dashboards and visual presentations for internal stakeholders
- Monitor and follow up on key performance indicators
- Collaborate with teams across departments and external partners
- Take on various ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications:
- University degree in a relevant field (e.g. engineering, computer science, economics, mathematics, or project management)
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with data
- Proven ability to turn data into actionable insights and support decision-making
- Experience with shift scheduling or workforce forecasting is a strong advantage
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Proactive mindset, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership
- Fluent in spoken and written English
