Summary

The Courseware Developer/Multimedia Designer is responsible for developing, and maintaining lessons, lesson materials, and multimedia data within a learning management system for several aviation training programs. The position focus is training development, and courseware management. Additionally, this position assists with the technical support of the TSSC staff including, student and classroom help desk assistance, daily classroom preparation / functionality checks, and iPad management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, revise, and maintain courseware and associated media for on-campus programs and in accordance with the approved style guide(s).
  • Develop, revise, and maintain lesson plans, student handouts, instructor guides (IG), student guides (SG), and other training materials in accordance with the approved style guide(s).
  • Develop, revise, and maintain JavaScript in lesson development and presentation functionality.
  • Perform basic SQL functions within the training management system database.
  • Provide on-site Help Desk support for TSSC staff, classrooms, and briefing rooms.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Requires 5 to 8 yearsu2019 experience with BS/BA or 2 to 4 years with MS/MA or 10 to 12 years with High School Diploma
  • Experience working with a courseware authoring tool, i.e. Articulate 360, or Adobe Captivate
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Storyline 360
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and SQL
  • Basic programming knowledge involving JavaScript, HTML, and Power BI
  • Command of the English language both oral and written
  • Great customer service skills
  • Ability to work autonomously

Desired Skills

  • Military training experience
  • Secondary education background

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DOD Personnel Security Clearance.

Work Environment

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
