The Senior Revenue Accountant co-manages and executes the operational needs of the Revenue Accounting Department. The incumbent ensures compliance and reports all revenue accounting issues and policies and keeps abreast of all Revenue Accounting changes and trends within the Airline Industry. He/She is the subject matter expert on his/her team’s processes and functions and is visible across the Airline’s internal and external stakeholders, as a skilled professional, supporting the Airline’s vision and strategic initiatives.


KEY DELIVERABLES:


  • Compliance:

Ensures compliance with all internal and external airline policies and procedures in matters related to Revenue Accounting.

  • Resource Management/Operational Effectiveness:

Ensures effective and efficient utilization of assigned resources, towards achieving goals. Manages the Department’s Resources, including rosters, work assignment, physical resources, performance management, conflict resolutions, attendance/punctuality, training, and development.

  • Problem Solving & Analysis:

Defines and identifies existing problems; determines the cause of the problems, prioritizes, and identifies alternatives for a solution and further implementation.

  • Reporting:
    Ensures the delivery of accurate and timely operational and other reports, with a view to supporting effective data analysis and decision-making.


  • People Management:

Provides leadership, direction, coaching and guidance to team members. towards ensuring the achievement of corporate objectives, continuous improvement, and the growth of team team members.

  • Training and Development:

Ensures the Revenue Accounting Department’s knowledge, training and development are kept abreast of all changes and updates with Revenue Accounting processes and that adequate coaching and mentoring are delivered to develop high performance teams. Ensures company’s knowledge base is sustained and secured.

  • Networking:

Must be able to build and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and manage the service level with external providers/stakeholders in the best interest of Caribbean Airlines.

  • Customer Service:

Seeks ways to improve service delivery, from the customer’s point of view. Build a strong network for internal and external customers. Ensures the customer’s expectations are considered, customer’s enquiries are attended to in a timely manner and relationships with customers are professionally maintained in the best interest of Caribbean Airlines

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

You must be ACCA or CPA qualified, have an equivalent designation or possess a BSc in Accounting or Business Management, Aviation Management, Computer Studies or related disciplines.

You must also have a minimum of five (5) CXC/CSEC/GCE Ordinary Level passes including Mathematics and English. A Diploma in Revenue Accounting and Control, a Certificate in Data Analytics and a Certificate in Data Management would be an asset.

You must also possess a Fares and Ticketing Certificate and be Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, in particular MS Excel and MS Word and have working knowledge of SAP or similar computerized accounting systems.

You must have three (3) years experience in an airline revenue accounting environment with a minimum of three (3) years’ proven history of effective Supervisory experience.

You must have working knowledge of ticketing and reporting processes of Passenger Service Systems (PSS), Airlines Reporting Corporation (ARC) and Billing and Settlement Plan (BSP) and knowledge of Airlines Clearing House (ACH) and IATA Clearing House (ICH) interline framework. A Comprehensive knowledge of the revenue declaration process, and the total revenue accounting process of an international Airline, IATA certification on Proration would be an Asset.

You must also have working knowledge of Aviation industry transportation taxes, fees and charges collections and payments, experience in Data Management and sound Knowledge of IATA Revenue Accounting Manual (RAM), Special Prorate Agreements, Passenger Proration, Interline Accounting and Controls
