JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Accounting Manager, Customer Service Finance, the Senior Accountant of Customer Service Finance plays a critical role in synthesizing all available Customer Service operational and financial data to provide insights to enhance our business strategy and provides oversight for Customer Service general accounting, financial reporting and financial systems.
This position will primarily assist the Accounting Manager in the proper accounting and oversight of FalconCare and Falcon Advantage long-term maintenance programs, high volume discounts to third party customers, spares and rotables inventory, and periodic analysis of all customer service-related balance sheet and income statement accounts.
This position is responsible for assisting the Accounting Manager in the execution of the Customer Service financial close, internal and external reporting, technical accounting matters and special projects, ensuring that all financial information is complete, accurate, and delivered timely to stakeholders.
The position is also responsible for assisting the Customer Service finance/accounting team in ensuring that the companys internal controls over financial reporting are met within Customer Service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):
- Oversee the day to day, and monthly accounting and activities over FalconCare and Falcon Advantage maintenance programs including but not limited to:
- Maintain and periodic review of all FalconCare billings and charges
- Review and Process cost and revenue journal entries on a weekly/monthly basis
- Review all adjudicated claims and make necessary entries to the FalconCare cost accumulation, revenue, COS, and other accounts in order to accurately record and reflect FalconCare activity
- Record monthly Falcon Advantage billing and accrual journal entries based on membership
- Assist the Accounting Manager in maintaining management reports, KPIs, etc. over these Customer Service maintenance programs
- Work independently with the operations team to ensure all transactions are being processed and adjudicated accurately
- Analyze and account for high volume discounts to customers
- Responsible for accuracy of Customer Service month-end closings, make appropriate GL adjustments
- Assist in making improvements to current business processes and financial reports
- Ensure that the companys internal controls over financial reporting are met within Customer Service
- Assist in making improvements to Customer Service Financial Reporting procedures and policies
- Monitor and reconcile Customer Service accrual and other balance sheet accounts assigned by Corporate
- Other duties may be assigned by management in order to meet department or business objectives on an as-needed basis
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- SAP experience
- Experience in Logistics environment
- Aircraft-related experience
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Use of personal computers required
- Willingness and ability to travel (minimal), as required
