Position Purpose:

This position will lead part of the Mexicali accounting team that may include any of the following groups: Accounts Payable, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Tax and/or Treasury functions. The accounting lead will report directly to the accounting manager.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. ASSIGN DAILY/WEEKLY/MONTHLY TASKS TO THE TEAM, ESTABLISHING PRIORITIES BY POSITION .
2. REVIEW PREPAYROLL, PAYROLL AND EMPLOYEE PAYMENTS EVERY WEEK .
3. REVIEW WEEKLY ACCOUNTS PAYABLES, CONFIRMING THE ACCURACY INTERNAL CONTROLS .
4. REVIEW AND APPROVE JOURNAL ENTRIES AND RECONCILIATIONS .
5. REVIEW THE TAXES PAYMENTS .
6. Correct issues identified in various account reconciliations.

Additional Functions:

1. Assist in Accounting Continuous Improvement efforts, analyzing VAT Devolutions and ensuring Internal Controls are being followed. .
2. Provide training to accounting/finance team .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. ENGLISH 90, KNOWLEDGE OF SAP AND TRESS, TAX KNOWLEDGE, TEAMWORK LEADERSHIP, Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications is required, principally Excel.
